My name is Noel!

Who remembers this sad story?

Noel is a 2-3 year old, mixed breed dog who weighs about 45-50 pounds. Noel was very skinny and very pregnant when she was turned into our local shelter. In fact, she went into labor that very day. Stress has a way of making that happen! Noel joined us because we got the puppy fosters who can manage some labor and nursing like champs! (We also got some fosters who will pass TF out if they see it. Room for everyone in ADA.) Luckily, a super foster was open and took Noel and her 9 newborn puppies home to raise.

Ten weeks later and Noel's puppies have been adopted. Now, it's her turn to find her happily ever after. She is now spayed and ready to find a family who will focus on her happiness and safety. (I mean, can you imagine being knocked up, starved and taken to a strange place. Most humans would not survive.) Noel is the picture of strength and grace and so is her foster momma who saved them all! Who wants to repay Noel's courage and kindness by giving her a home of her very own?

Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
