My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Theo and Simon are so eager to be loved! They adore attention from all of our volunteers and Theo is first to greet anyone who stops by. While shy at first, Simon now rolls over to show us his belly and purrs with happiness when petted.

Theo and Simon are FeLV+ but are currently in good health and we hope to have a long future ahead of them. Have questions about FeLV? Reach out and we would love to chat with you! FeLV is not contagious to people or other species. They will need to live in a home without other cats or with cats who are also FeLV+

Theo and Simon have great litter box habits, love mealtime, and are so ready to find a home. They made the long journey from sunny Louisiana to safety in Evanston and are ready to find a home in the Chicagoland area. They are ten months old.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
