Raine was adopted from PAWS in 2020. Her mother passed away in 2022 and a family member was kind enough to adopt her. However, his situation has taken and unexpected turn so he had to bring Raine back. She is estimated to have been born 10/30/2017. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her shots but did test positive for heartworms. She is being treated for heartworms at this time. Raine is very fearful when first meeting new people and does not do well with children, dogs or cats. She will need a quiet home where she can learn to trust. She does accept love pretty quickly but, until she is comfortable with you, she could potentially nip if cornered. Once she realizes you won't hurt her, she is a total love bug and just wants to be with her people! She may have been housetrained but we can not guarantee that. She does keep her run very clean. Her adoption fee is $200. She had a dental when she came back so she is ready to start her forever future! If you are interested in adopting, please go to pawspaws.org to complete the PAWS application. Once approved, we will schedule a meet and greet. Once we receive the application, we will process it and call you if approved to set up a meet and greet.

Meet the Pet
If we feel you are a good match, we will complete the Adoption Contract,review with you, and collect the adoption fee.

Take the Pet Home
Then we will send you and your new family member home!

Dogs: The adoption fees for PAWS puppies and dogs start at $200. Occasionally, the adoption fee will be higher and, if that is the case, it will be noted on the animal's profile. When you adopt your new dog or puppy, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on routine shots. If it is six months or older, it will have been tested for heartworms and placed on a heartworm preventative.
Cats: The adoption fee for most PAWS kittens and cats is $75. When you adopt your new cat or kitten, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on its shots, with the exception of its rabies shot, which must be given by a vet. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ADOPT A CAT OR KITTEN, BE SURE TO BRING A CARRIER OR PET TAXI WITH YOU. WE CANNOT SEND A CAT/KITTEN HOME UNLESS IT IS IN A CARRIER/PET TAXI.
We certainly recommend that you continue your pet's routine vaccination regimen with your veterinarian.
SAME DAY ADOPTIONS ARE NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE, SO IF YOU ARE DRIVING FROM A DISTANCE, PLEASE MAKE ADVANCE ARRANGEMENTS.
IF YOU RENT, YOU MUST BRING A SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT FROM YOUR LANDLORD STATING THAT IT IS OKAY FOR YOU TO HAVE AN ANIMAL IN THE HOUSE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A RENTAL AGREEMENT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THE COMPANION ANIMAL OF YOUR CHOICE HOME WITH YOU.
