My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Millie is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd who is looking for a forever home. Unfortunately, her owner has developed health complications that make it difficult for her to continue to care for Millie. Millie is a healthy dog who loves attention. She is shy with new people and can be anxious in new places. Overall, Millie is a quiet dog. She is very good with kids. Millie would do well in a home or in an apartment. She is housetrained, micro-chipped, spayed, up to date on shots, and is also crate trained. Millie is currently located in Boynton Beach. To schedule a meet-n-greet with Millie, please contact her owner Ashley at (516) 670-2040 or via email at ashley.monsell@gmail.com.

DISCLAIMER: Happy Tails Dog Rescue is helping Ashley market Millie for a new home but has otherwise not had any involvement. As such, Happy Tails Dog Rescue cannot attest to the health, temperament, or other factors related to Millie now or in the future. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our goal is to make the adoption process as thorough and easy as possible. If you are interested in adopting a dog, the first thing we will ask you to do is complete our online Adoption Application. Upon review of your application, a decision to approve or decline will be made. If approved, we will schedule a time for your to meet the dog you are interested in adopting. If there is a match, a home visit will be conducted before the final adoption decision is made. Once the final approval is made, an Adoption Agreement is signed and the adoption is complete.

More about this rescue

Happy Tails Dog Rescue is a foster-based registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, vetting, and rehoming dogs from kill shelters in Southern Florida. We are a husband and wife team, together with a small team of volunteers who rescue, vet dogs, and rehome dogs who are about to be euthanized. It is our goal to provide the necessary veterinary care, grooming, and attention they may need to ultimately place them in forever homes.
