Harriet is a female mixed breed, maybe a heeler/shepherd? She is around 2 years old, is spayed, current on vaccines including rabies & microchipped. She weighs 44lbs. She is currently being treated for tick fever & is already feeling better!
Harriet was abandoned by her previous owners with her 8 puppies to fend for themselves. She was a wonderful mom, who sacrificed her health & well being to keep her puppies safe & fed. Her skin was raw, she had no hair, was malnourished & in so much pain.
Harriet has made a full recovery! Her skin is healing & her hair has grown back beautifully! She blended into her new routine seamlessly & loves the indoor life. She enjoys lounging on the couch or a comfy dog bed. She is learning how to play with her foster FURiends & has great energy. She holds her head high with confidence & is welcoming to anyone new. She loves attention from humans & is very treat motivated. She gets along with any sized dog, we are unsure about cats. She is house broken but will have accidents if she doesn't have access to outside. She has never been on a leash/harness but learns quickly.
She would love a low-key home where she can continue healing & blossom! Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com & you will be contacted within 48hrs if your application fits her current needs.

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.
Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.
We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
