5 month old Kali, a stray from a Kansas shelter, was likely dumped as no owner came for her. Thankfully Kali recovered easily from parvo virus and is ready for her furever home!
A Great Pyrenees/Saint Bernard mix we think, Kali has a big heart. She is very sweet with people and loves when the grandkids visit, spinning around the room in excitement and soaking up all the loves and pets. And watch out for her Pyr paw! Always up for a play session, Kali enjoys wrestling with other dogs. Kali will occasionally chase the cat but only in playfulness. Kali is cautious at first with new things and experiences and very observant, however it doesn't take her long to warm up after she assesses the situation. Kali is very smart and doing well with potty training and working on leash training. Believing it is her job, Kali alerts you to sights and sounds.
*Being fostered in Jackson, MO*
A good eater and weighing in at 50 lbs, Kali is going to be a big girl! She is up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. She will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract with adopter promising to spay/neuter at a later date and must show proof at that time.
Adoption Requirements:
*A secure & visible fence
*A home visit
*Guardian breed experience
*A dog in the home
*A vet check with at least a two year vet history
Adopters can be located in Missouri and surrounding states: Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois. We are able to help transport to those states.

More about this rescue
Great Pyrenees Rescue of Missouri is dedicated to rescuing Great Pyrenees who are without a home, need medical attention, or just need a safe haven as they transition to their forever home. We are a volunteer, nonprofit rescue, relying solely on your generous donations. We are currently working to establish our rescue facility in St. Clair, Missouri. Until our facility is constructed, we will be foster based only, with fosters in Missouri and surrounding states. We will continue to have fosters after our facility is built. Our facility will allow us to rescue more Pyrenees in need.
