My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nacho Libre!

Nacho Libre entered Los Angeles Animal Services- Chesterfield Square as a stray and was impounded there for TEN months. Thankfully, a volunteer brought him to our attention, and we scooped him up on March 13th to become a Frosted Face. Nacho Libre is 9 years old and weighs 50 lbs. He enjoys going on our weekly FFF hikes and spending time in play groups with his Frosted Friends.

Nacho Libre went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and despite not having lived in a home for a long time, he settled right in and was the best behaved boy! His Fling Mom reports:

"Nacho Libre is a super sweet boy! He loves a good walk in the sun, is great on the leash, and has gone an easy couple of miles each walk. He is great with all dogs and kids on that he meets while on walks.

Nacho is potty trained and sleeps in a crate all night after quietly barking for a few minutes. He is independent but loves to shadow you around the apartment. He naps a lot during the day, so he would be great for someone working from home or in office.

Nacho Libre is good in the car, but hasn't quite figured out how to lay down in the seat so he wobbles a lot. He's been on boat, golf, and restaurant outings with us and was a perfect angel. He liked standing in the wind on the boat!

I think Nacho Libre would do really well in a house along or with other dogs, just no cats.

Nacho Libre would be the perfect addition to any family!"

Nacho Libre currently lives in a Foster home while he waits for his forever family, and once again, he is earning rave reviews. His Foster Mom shares:

"Nacho has settled into our routine REALLY quickly. He seems happy and appreciative to be part of it and has been very respectful and well mannered with my very large male dog. Nacho is so sweet and LOVES being loved on; he'll bury his head in your chest for hugs and gives the sweetest kisses. We're working on his confidence and some very slight food protectiveness, and he's responded very well.

Nacho can be left without destroying anything or having accidents for several hours, happily napping or quietly keeping an eye on the back yard from his indoor perch (I watch him on my cameras when I leave).

We're trying to make Nacho feel safe and very much wanted until his forever home finds him! Might that be you?"
