My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The shelter labeled Jake as a Gaint Schnauzer, but we don't see it! He looks like a scruffy little terrier, but he's 60 pounds! We have no idea what his breed mix is, we just know he's an all-around Good Boy who loves to go on walks and adventures, loves to toss around balls and sticks, loves attention and engagement. He's playful and bubbly and always has a smile on his face! Jake is good with kids and other dogs, but has not been cat-tested.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

People can submit an adoption application

2.

Interview

First we do reference checks, THEN we do a full 1 to 1.5 hr interview with the applicant

3.

Home Check

Home checks used to be done in person but lately we do a zoom walk through of the home, checking especially the backyard and crate set up

4.

Meet the Pet

If the dog is here in Canada they can do a meet and greet to finalize that they are in fact who they say they are and a good match

5.

Approve Application

we would send an email approving the adopter (or declining if they aren't approved)

6.

Sign Adoption Contract

We would send the adoption contract which they would fill out and send back.

7.

Pay Fee

They would transfer the adoption fee to cover transport costs and vetting of the dog. Then they would come pick up the dog from the foster.

Additional adoption info

No other additional information. Some of our dogs are adopted as soon as they come up on a "foster-to-adopt" trial period to ensure the perfect match.

More about this rescue
