My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BELLA

It's not usually this hard to guess at a dog's breed mix, but this one has us stumped! She looks like a little bully mix but she's only 30 pounds. We want to say she's tiny, but that means different things to different people! Haha to us she's tiny.

She's in a wonderful foster home in Ontario with a couple of other dogs and a cat, and has been an absolute gem. Friendly, attentive, playful, relaxed....she's just wonderful! The first couple of days were a bit sketchy with the cat, but with calm and consistent correction, she was snoozing nose to nose with kitty by the end of her first week. She absolutely thrives on being part of an active, bustling family. She's easy and delightful to live with, with no skittishness or apparent triggers or sign of past trauma. Please complete an adoption application found on our website or on our Facebook page.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

People can submit an adoption application

2.

Interview

First we do reference checks, THEN we do a full 1 to 1.5 hr interview with the applicant

3.

Home Check

Home checks used to be done in person but lately we do a zoom walk through of the home, checking especially the backyard and crate set up

4.

Meet the Pet

If the dog is here in Canada they can do a meet and greet to finalize that they are in fact who they say they are and a good match

5.

Approve Application

we would send an email approving the adopter (or declining if they aren't approved)

6.

Sign Adoption Contract

We would send the adoption contract which they would fill out and send back.

7.

Pay Fee

They would transfer the adoption fee to cover transport costs and vetting of the dog. Then they would come pick up the dog from the foster.

Additional adoption info

No other additional information. Some of our dogs are adopted as soon as they come up on a "foster-to-adopt" trial period to ensure the perfect match.
