My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

One of the first things most people ask about a dog is, 'what kind is she?' Much of the time we're just guessing, like with Karli here. To us her face looks like a beagle. Her ears are like a lab. Her body is kind of bully-ish...basically we have no idea what breeds she is! What we do know is that she is 100% Velcro. It's been challenging for her foster to get good photos of her, because she wants to be so close all the time. She's been a gem of a houseguest so far...quiet, well-mannered and endlessly affectionate. She's thought to be about 4 years old.

Karli gets along beautifully with other dogs. Hasn't been cat-tested and probably won't get a chance to be while she's in her foster home in Houston. She needs somewhere to land in Ontario, so if you want more unconditional devotion in your life, please fill out a foster or adoption application, found on our Facebooknpage.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

People can submit an adoption application

2.

Interview

First we do reference checks, THEN we do a full 1 to 1.5 hr interview with the applicant

3.

Home Check

Home checks used to be done in person but lately we do a zoom walk through of the home, checking especially the backyard and crate set up

4.

Meet the Pet

If the dog is here in Canada they can do a meet and greet to finalize that they are in fact who they say they are and a good match

5.

Approve Application

we would send an email approving the adopter (or declining if they aren't approved)

6.

Sign Adoption Contract

We would send the adoption contract which they would fill out and send back.

7.

Pay Fee

They would transfer the adoption fee to cover transport costs and vetting of the dog. Then they would come pick up the dog from the foster.

Additional adoption info

No other additional information. Some of our dogs are adopted as soon as they come up on a "foster-to-adopt" trial period to ensure the perfect match.
