My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HI, my name is Crockpot. I am around 2 years old and just under 50 pounds of pure love. I found myself abandoned at the shelter around Thanksgiving time.(side note, what a great time to be abandoned...I was so looking forward to turkey and taters!) I guess it was because I may or may not have gotten myself in a situation where I was "with children. Yup, that is right. 10 of them. Due to the stress of being left and the loud shelter, I ended up giving birth to 10 babies a few days after I arrived. Scared for my babies and for me...I needed out. That is when SOAR stepped in!

While my story started out sad, I will have to say, I have the best life now! I raised my kids and now I am really learning how to be the perfect pet! My foster mama says that I am great on walks, I love going to work with her, I get along with most everyone I meet, I get an A++ for snuggles and honestly, I have THE. BEST. SMILE. I am so ready to be a part of someone's family. Could that be you?

The Details:
Crockpot has an adoption fee of $275. She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and on preventatives. So basically, she is ready to be all yours!

More about this rescue

We are a foster based animal rescue in the Nashville area.

Our mission is to work as a shelter diversion for animals who are facing homelessness, through no fault of their own. We provide vet care, a foster and adoption for animals belonging to owners who are homeless or living below the poverty level, where rehoming is their only option.

The majority of SOARescue animals come to us through our big sister organization SAFPAW (Southern Alliance for People and Animal Welfare).
If you would like to learn more about SAFPAW and their weekly spay/neuter transport, homeless outreach program and women's post recovery home, please visit their website at www.safpaw.org.

If SOARescue has the capacity to aid with other strays or owner surrenders, we will gladly do so. Our goal is to help relieve pressure on the over-burdened shelter system.
