"Charlee Bear" is made for the outdoors. She loves to chase birds out of the yard, sit by a campfire, or go for a swim. She is working on recall and not pulling on the leash, but will ultimately require consistent training. Not long ago, she was a stranger to the words, "sit," and, "wait," but she has shown an eagerness for learning. She would do well with an experienced owner who can give her time to get her energy out through mental and physical activities. She does exhibit some guarding behaviors with her favorite balls, and has puppy-like jumpiness and mouthing when excited. As a result, she would do best in a home with teens or without any children. She has done well with cats in previous homes, but has been shown to chase when excited. With appropriate training, she could become a great hunting dog or companion.
