Hi there, my name is Mavel and I am a pretty brindle Labrador Retriever mix puppy about 4 months old, and I weigh 24 lbs. My mother and I were found by students at the Texas A&M University campus. They searched around for additional puppies but none were found so they placed us with a dog rescue. I have been staying in a foster home getting ready to be adopted, recently spayed and vaccinated so I’m ready to go!
I am a happy friendly girl good with kids, strangers, cats, and dogs. I love everyone. I am a typical puppy running around with doggy toys in my mouth looking for playmates or pets on the head and tummy rubs. My foster mom says I am a very smart puppy, very observant, happy, sweet, friendly, independent, and resourceful and I will make an excellent family dog. If you have kids, Im your gal. I’m not hyper or wild and I make a nice playmate. I’m good in a crate with a bed, blanket, and toys to play with and I stay in there quietly while my foster mom works and I sleep there each night. I am looking forward to a fun and happy future somewhere in or near Connecticut. I’ll be riding onboard a rescue dog transport leaving Texas next week!
* We encourage you to send us an email with your #1, #2, and #3 choices, and we will be happy to help you find a pup to complete your family! Also, please continue watching our listings as we post new dogs multiple times a week. There is no need to fill out another application, just let us know what other dogs you are interested in as they come up.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
