My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, my name is Yankee, and I was recently taken into the rescue when my previous caretaker passed away unexpectedly. There were 4 of us in total and we all needed a place to go. Thankfully that placement was found, and I am settling in nicely at my current foster home.

I am a very sweet but shy male New Zealand bun. I have been neutered and vaccinated against RHDV2 and have wonderful litterbox habits. It took me about a week to come out of hiding when I first arrived as it was quite a traumatic upheaval for me but now I am finally coming out of my shell and have become very curious and more inquisitive.

I am about 3 years of age and full grown. I am eating a proper diet of Oxbow Adult Timothy pellets, I absolutely LOVE all my timothy hay and a nice big bowl of fresh water daily. I also love my daily salad of things like romaine, parsley, dandelion greens and carrot tops. Please do not forget my weekly treats of items like small pieces of banana, apple or some blueberries. I also may be a wonderful bond mate for any spayed females searching for a friend.

Would you please consider opening your heart and home to a handsome guy like me?

More about this rescue

After fostering for over 20 years I decided it was time to open my own rescue. Bunnies are intelligent caring sensitive creatures who blossom in the right environment. They have much more spunk and personality than most people realize . You will be a convert once you have the chance to experience first hand how wonderful a compainon they can be.
