My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gary arrived as a stray.    He is a large fellow and has a presence about him.  He is protective of those he attaches himself to.  He seems fine around some dogs but should meet any new housemates prior to us approving an adoption.

Gary is about 85 lbs and could stand to gain a few more.  He will be neutered, vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested, and microchipped as part of the adoption.

Anyone interested in Gary must meet him and complete an application.

Gary is a clumsy goofball, loves toys, and knows some commands.  He keeps his kennel area clean, loves his comfy bed and snacks.

Here is a cute 'goofy' Tiktok video of him:

More about this shelter

We are the Morrow County Dog Shelter, operated by the county.
Our shelter houses stray and homeless dogs from our county. We are a small shelter with an annual intake between 250-400 dogs. Some of our available dogs go through a prison training program if they qualify.
Our adoption fee includes all basic vet care and it is completed before a dog goes to his/her new home. An adoption application is necessary for all dogs prior to an adopter being chosen.
