My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATION: Carriere, Mississippi
DOB: 02/24/2023 (Estimate)

Check out Fin. If silliness is your jam, then he is your guy! He is about as perfect as they come. Fin is a handsome young black mix with stylish white markings and an amazing personality that just shines. From the moment you meet him, it's clear that he is a true goofball at heart. With his infectious wiggles and enthusiasm, his wagging tail doesn’t seem to have an off switch. He is just full of joy over EVERYTHING. Whether he's romping around the dog park or parading proudly with a stuffed toy in his mouth, his zest for life is simply contagious.
Don’t let his playful antics fool you—Fin is also incredibly smart and intuitive. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes both male and female. He loves to chew on bones. He enjoys engaging in games of tug-of-war and friendly wrestling matches. He loves chasing balls, and while he may not always bring them back, his sheer enthusiasm is enough to make any game of fetch a blast.
When it comes to people, he is very social. He'll happily stroll around the dog park, greeting every owner with a wag of his tail and a friendly hello sniff. And as a poster boy for Velcro dogs, he thrives on being by your side, soaking up every moment of affection. He really is the ideal companion.
Despite his exuberance, Fin is remarkably well-behaved, showing no destructive tendencies when left alone. He's a quick learner, mastering commands like sit with ease, especially when treats are involved. And speaking of treats, he is incredibly food motivated, making him a breeze to train.
His talents don't stop there—he's also an expert cuddler, with his gentle affection and warm snuggles. And let's not forget his adorable little happy dance at mealtime, another sign of his joyful spirit. He loves the car and does well on rides. This guy actually learned how to open doors to be with his humans. Super smart! He needs ongoing reinforcement with leash manners but is improving and should be able to excel at that as well. He loves water and may try to join you in the shower. The more the merrier right?! He may have a touch of FOMO and wants to be where the action is - with you of course.
Fin isn't just another pretty face—he's a bundle of endless entertainment. With his playful demeanor, intellect, devotion and sociable nature, he will make a cherished addition to any family lucky enough to adopt him.

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
