This warp speed wiggler is a total lover!

She is the sweetest of sweet, very cute and a talker. She wants to see and go places in this big wonderful world, walks well on a lead and will let out joyful vocals to let you know if your slacking in your 10,000 steps and to pick up the pace-it's a big fun world out there and she's all in!

She's CrAy CrAy for fetch, loves to play and is a very nice girl deserving of a home that will include her in their daily lives and tell her everyday how wonderful she is.

Checkers is not in the main public section of the shelter, so be sure to ask for her by name if you come to visit her!

All adoptions must be done in person. Prospective adopters must meet the pet and complete the adoption application and questionnaire during the initial visit to our shelter at 2802 W Central Park Ave, Davenport, IA.

The Humane Society of Scott County (HSSC) has been an advocate for the humane care of all animals in Scott County, Iowa, since 1902.

An average of 500 pets arrive at the HSSC each month. About 80% come to us as strays and the rest are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep or care for their pets.

The HSSC is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization funded entirely by donations, adoption fees and a fee charged to the city and county for the care of the animals.
