My name is Susan! I am a growing girl who weighed 15 pounds at my most recent veterinary visit in April. I have a lot of energy and love to play! I want to be an escape artist when I grow up, so I need some extra attention right now. I like to climb onto the top of my crate and plan my escape.
I am working on learning how to walk on a leash. I like to go on morning walks with my sister and foster siblings. Sometimes I wear a harness and sometimes I only wear my collar with the leash. I like to practice walking on a leash.
I love to chase my sister around the yard and wrestle. I love squeaky toys, snacks, car rides and naps. I get to visit a chubby cat a few days a week. He is an interesting cat, and I am learning how to respect his boundaries. I like to take long naps in my crate with the door open. I am learning how to let my foster family know that I need a potty break outside, I am almost an expert, I've heard. I love to run races with my sister inside the house when I am let out of my x-pen. Sometimes I don't want to be in the x-pen, but I am told sometimes my foster siblings need a break from my puppy energy.
I would love a friend to play and nap with. I love to run around the fenced yard, go on walks with my sister, and try to sit nicely for a snack. Sometimes I just get so excited when I hear the treat bin open, I can't remember I am supposed to sit nicely for my treat.
If you would like to meet me, please contact my adoption coordinator Deb at 928-853-1046.

If you are interested in one of our animals, please fill out an adoption application, located on our web site here: http://tubacityhumanesociety.org/adoptions/ . There is more information about our adoption process, including our adoption fees, on that page. In general, fill out an adoption application, and then photo or scan it to our email at tubacityhumane@gmail.com, and that enables us to start a conversation with you. From there, the foster would usually set up a meet and greet with the animal you are interested in. We like all family members to meet the animal, and any other pets as well. We do require a home check. Adoption fees do not cover our veterinary cost, but do help us to continue our work. All animals are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Most animals are also microchipped.
