Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Rum
Breed: GSD x Farm Dog Mix
DOB/Sex: Dec 22, 2023/M
Known Health Issues: Bilateral Hip Dysplasia. Will be receiving double hip replacement. Covered with adoption.
Good With: Cats! Dogs! Kids!
NO DOG PARKS
Rum is one of 8 puppies born on a farm. He was surrendered with his mom, Bounty (small GSD), at 6 weeks of age.
Occasionally there are puppies that steal part of my soul, and Rum is one such puppy. I love everything about him, and will only be placing him if everything feels right. He is sweet, kind, chill, and devoted. He loves to hike, play in the water, and is food motivated. He is a bit of a mommas boy, and is often found laying at my feet. He can be pushy/cocky with other dogs, and possesive of his ball. Proper training and pack integration is key for success!
Rum, like his siblings, is idiopathically shy. He will always be a dog that can be uncertain in new situations, easily spooked, and needs calm and patient guidance. This does not mean he should be coddled! And in fact proper structured socialization is even more important for dogs that are prone to insecurities. But he is the sweetest boy, and deserves every extra moment spent with him to make sure that he is as happy and comfortable in life as possible.
His successful adopter must be willing to bring him in for his neuter, to our vet in Caledon. This is included with his adoption, and will be completed after his hip surgeries.
If you think you can convince me, that you are the one for him, please complete an application here: https://form.jotform.com/233466598767073
