We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see a sweet young dog that needs our help. Kazoo is one of these dogs that deserves all the love she'll bring to a family, to have a wonderful home filled with pure love and nurturing.
Kazoo is a cute as can be, tiny, 7 lb, 2 year old Dachshund / Chihuahua mix. This pup is SO sweet and once acclimated to her new life, will make a wonderful addition to a dog-loving family.
Kazoo was found abandoned in a dog park in Pampa Texas, and brought into a small shelter. From there she was transported to Colorado to start her new life.

"Zoo zoo, as I've been calling her, is the best! This tiny girl is SO sweet. She is so petite and adorable with her crazy ears!
She loves being held and cuddled. She sleeps in bed with us and sleeps under the covers all night. She plays with the dogs and loves toys.
Zoo-Zoo eats her food side by side with my dogs with no issue. She is getting along great with all 6 other dogs in the home, and she is showing more and more of her sweet little personality every day!
She has seen my cat twice and has not reacted to her.
She’s so spunky and silly and does this cute little thing where she stands on 2 feet and crosses her arms.
I would say she is so close to being potty trained... She doesn't like going when I watch, so she will only potty outside if I pretend not to look. She's never gone potty in the house during the day, but I put a potty pad on the ground over night and she has been using that once in the middle of the night.
She is truly just the cutest thing ever!!! Dachshund / Chihuahua seems SO accurate, but I swear she got the perfect traits of each breed!
Note -- While I am fostering both Tulip and Kazoo, and it is clear that they are littermates, I do NOT believe that they are bonded. I think if someone wants to adopt both of them, that is fine, but I definitely do not believe that they need to go to the same home. Both of them would do totally fine on their own. They don't cuddle or play or hangout much with each other.”

Kazoo is a perfect size to be able to accompany her family just about everywhere a tiny dog is welcome. She will fit right into virtually every situation due to her great temperament and love of life. Our dream for this very loving pup is a forever Colorado home with a family that cherishes her for life.
As Kazoo becomes comfortable in her forever home, she'll blossom and become a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please. The happier her family is with her behavior, the more Kazoo will shine with her accomplishments. Farfel's would like to see our wonderful Doxy in a home that includes her in family time and activities (and some lap or couch-time with belly rubs would be absolutely perfect!) as well as taking that extra step to participate in positive reinforcement / force free virtual or in-person obedience classes. These classes successfully teach a smart and cooperative dog like Kazoo the skills to accompany her family out into the world with excellent behavior. Farfel's Rescue is happy to provide a list of approved virtual and in-person force-free trainers in your area.
Kazoo has been fully vetted, is up to date on her vaccinations and has been spayed. This supports Farfel's commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs that won't contribute to the overpopulation crisis in the canine population.
