Ja'dore is simply, positively ja'dorable!! She's about 9 years old and she's had a tough time of it over the last few years. She was adopted from our Newark facility and Ja'dore became afflicted with allergies. As many know that have had allergic pets, it's no easy feat to treat! Despite her adopter's efforts, they could no longer care for her. Ja'dore is now on Cytopoint injections and she's also on some meds to treat her skin and ears, and she's starting to feel better already! She will need allergy injections going forward, or a similar allergy medication. None of this gets the little princess down though, and she is such a sweetheart that is perfectly behaved, perfect on a leash, perfectly trained, housebroken, still playful and silly, and she's even good with mild-mannered dogs and cats too. She needs to continue getting well in a great, loving home and she hopes you'll give her a chance! Email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. File#54649 4/16/24

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
