Maverick is a lovable 2-year-old husky mix looking for his forever home! This handsome guy celebrated his 2nd birthday on April 1st, and he's ready to bring his sweet personality and zest for life to a new family.

As a husky mix, Maverick has an abundance of energy and loves being active. He'll thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of exercise and activities to keep his mind and body engaged. Huskies are known for their endurance and love of the outdoors, so Maverick would be an excellent companion for hiking, running, or any other adventures you have in mind.

Maverick is a total sweetheart with people and other dogs. He's friendly, affectionate, and loves receiving attention and pets from his human friends. However, due to his exuberant nature, he may do best with older, more experienced children in the home.

Starting May 2 week, Maverick will begin training classes to help him learn good manners and become an even more well-rounded companion. With his intelligence and eagerness to please, he's sure to be a star pupil!

More about this rescue

Our mission is to save the lives of dogs facing euthanasia in high-kill shelters nationwide by pledging funds that enable rescues to take in, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need. On occasion, if we do not have a local rescue in place in the city the dogs are in, we bring them to Illinois to avoid their euthanasia. They are placed in boarding for vetting, once done, they are promoted for fostering or adoption.
