My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a sweet goofy girl to call your own? Well let me introduce you to Gladys. This sweet older girl is looking for a place she can call her own. She would love to find a family that will give her lots of attention and let her come out of her shell at her own pace. If you think this little girl would be a great match for you, fill out an application.

~ Gladys is looking for a quieter home that she can call her own
~ She would love to find a home with older children or adults as she can be shy / nervous around new people
~ We recommend that her new family works on her socialization along with her basic manners and training

Regularly Exhibited Behaviours Noticed:
- Nervous/shy
- Under-Socialized
- Mouthy

Explanation of Behaviours:
- Gladys can be a little shy/nervous with new people, in new environments and in new situations. Her new family should be ready to slowly work with her on socialization so she is more comfortable and confident with interactions and situations.
- Gladys can get mouthy when she is asking for attention. She does go up to people and when attempting to get affection she will mouth their hand.

This dog would benefit from:
- A quieter home
- A family consisting of older children or all adults
- Socialization
- Training

Training needs/behaviours that need to be worked with for this dog:
- Socialziation
- Basic Training
- Basic Manners

**For more information on any behaviours stated above, please check out our behaviour fact
sheet: https://kwsphumane.ca/BehavioursandDefinitions

**Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.

If you are viewing this through 24PetConnect by PetPlace or Adopt-A-Pet, please visit our website https://kwsphumane.ca/adopt/process to submit an application. Any applications submitted outside of www.kwsphumane.ca may not be received.

Additional adoption info

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
