At just 3 years old and 62 pounds, he’s a quick learner who thrives on mental stimulation and truly loves training. New tricks and agility games? Bring it on. Hudson lights up when his brain is engaged, and he’s happiest when he has a purpose.
We believe there’s some working breed in his genes, and it shows in his focus, drive, and desire to bond deeply with his people. He’s eager to please and would thrive in a home that understands the needs of smart, active dogs and can keep him challenged with ongoing learning and enrichment.

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.

We are 100% volunteer/foster based, so we do ask that you complete an adoption application in order for us to schedule a phone interview.
Interview
After reviewing your application, we'll contact you to determine if dog is a good fit for your lifestyle and home.
Approve Application
We check vet and personal references to ensure previous dogs were well cared for, so please be thorough in providing this info.
Home Check
This enables the dog to get to know you and your home and for us to suggest anything they may need to be successful in your home.
Sign Adoption Contract
You would also pay the fee at this time, however, we offer a 2 week trial period before cashing your check. We will always take dogs back.
