Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet Streetcar Stella was found by a Good Samaritan, and her journey took her to an emergency clinic as well as the Austin Animal Center before arriving at APA. She was likely hit by a car and now suffers from pelvic limb paralysis, but it does not slow her down.
Stella loves meeting new people and is also always excited when her friends stop by to see her. She has done well interacting with children and loves having company. She has a set of wheels to help her get around and loves going jogging or taking a walk when the weather is nice. Stella also loves wrestling with a good squeaky toy, and depending on the day, she enjoys playing fetch or keep away (it depends on which friend is playing with her :)). Stella keeps everyone around her in a good mood with her upbeat, goofy personality, and she will never say no to a snack or treat.
As a result of her injuries, Streetcar Stella is urinary incontinent and needs some help by being expressed, but can have bowel movements on her own. We have figured out a system for her care and would be happy to show someone how to care for her.
Throughout her treatment, Streetcar Stella has remained very friendly and tolerant of medical procedures and handling. She is on the road to recovery, but her journey isn't over. Streetcar Stella would benefit greatly from securing a foster or adoption home where she could continue to recover and improve. Would you be interested in inviting sweet Streetcar Stella into your home?
