My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ice Cube’s Compatibility:
Dogs & Cats - Ice Cube prefers to be the only pet
Kids - Hoping for an adult-only home

Ice Cube isn’t just looking for a home. He’s looking for his person. The one he’ll follow from room to room. The one he’ll trust completely. The one he’ll love with his whole heart. He may not be the kind of dog who greets you with sloppy kisses on day one, but give him time and a calm, quiet home, and he’ll become the kind of companion you can count on through anything.

He came to us last summer in crisis, picked up by police while running loose in dangerously high heat. By the time he reached our doors, he was minutes from a heat stroke. Our team dropped everything to save him, cooling him down, packing him in ice, and bringing him back from the brink. He survived. And he’s been quietly winning hearts ever since.

Ice Cube knows “sit” and “wait” and thrives on routine. He responds beautifully to kindness and patience, and he’s deeply loyal once he feels safe. He’s hoping for a peaceful adult-only home where he can relax, feel secure, and build a bond that lasts a lifetime.

If you’ve been searching for a ride or die kind of best friend, come meet Ice Cube. He’s got so much love to give and just needs the right person to give it to.

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
