My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Prepare for your heart to melt the moment you look into Jaxx’s soulful eyes! This incredibly handsome boy knows how to use his puppy-dog eyes to perfection and is ready to find a loving family after a long time waiting at the HSAC shelter.
A Gentle & Patient Soul
Jaxx is the definition of a great older brother. He is naturally calm, patient, and gentle, which makes him the perfect fit for a family environment:
Kid-Friendly: His calm demeanor makes him a wonderful companion for children.
Pet-Friendly: Jaxx gets along great with other dogs and cats, ensuring a smooth transition into a multi-pet household.
Smart Start: He’s already working on his manners and knows a couple of basic commands like "sit."
Jaxx is at the ideal age to be introduced to a new home. He has been with the Humane Society of Adams County (HSAC) since he was a young pup and he truly deserves the opportunity to thrive and just be a happy, loved dog. He will be the most perfect man's best friend you could ever ask for!If you would be interested in giving me a furever home, please contact The Humane Society of Adams County, Inc. at (937) 544-8585 to set up a time to come meet me and fill out an adoption application!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is made up of two parts. Upon a decision to adopt an animal we require an application for adoption that asks questions such as housing and veterinary references. We then check references and may require a home visit. Upon approval you will fill out a contract for adoption and pay the adoption fees. Adoption fees are based on age and vetting required.
