He`d love nothing more than putting his petite 79-pound body across your lap for petting and serious snuggling. While Kash may be a bit rough for families with small children, his affectionate and excitable personality makes him ideal for those seeking a loyal companion. Because he can be possessive of his toys, he`ll need to live with children at least 15 years old and you`ll need to bring your dog to meet him. Kash can be a bit needy and enjoys lazy afternoons just as much as playful mornings. With a previous owner, we were told that he knows the sit, stay, no, and wait commands. But he may have forgotten. He likes fetch, running, tugging, toys, and walks - especially when he gets to jump around on a leash - but not car rides. CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021.
