Meet Osita – Your New Favorite Family Member (Don’t Tell Your Cousin Carl)
Looking for 55 pounds of pure love, goofiness, and snuggle magic? Say hello to Osita – a sweet, affectionate young adult pup with a heart as big as her goofy smile.
Osita is the kind of dog who greets every new person like an old friend—preferably one carrying snacks. She’s a certified cuddle bug, a loyal sidekick, and your future partner-in-walks, hikes, and post-hike naps. Whether you're hitting the trail or just the couch, Osita is all in.
While she currently lives peacefully with other dogs and can handle polite passersby on walks, Osita would really thrive as your one and only. She’s got plenty of love to give, and she doesn’t want to share it with other dogs—or cats (she says, “Hard pass on those, please!”). Older kids (13+) are totally her vibe though—especially the ones who know how to hand out belly rubs and snacks.
Osita’s energy is just right: she’s playful and fun, but she also has a PhD in Couch Lounging and will happily Netflix and snooze with you for hours. She’s got that perfect combo of adventure buddy + cuddle queen.
If you’re looking for a best friend who will make you laugh, love you like crazy, and always be down for a snack break, Osita might just be your soulmate (with fur).
Ready to meet the dog who will steal your heart—and maybe your sandwich? Come say hi to Osita today.

More about this rescue
Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit organization; obtained our 501(c)3 in 2011 - ID #27-0810495
Located in Anza, CA
Kathy Haley had originally started as a rescue for abused and neglected large animals such as donkeys, llamas, alpacas, pigs, and more. At the time, she was also a volunteer at a dog rescue. After learning about the importance of rescue work, Kathy saw an opportunity to help by employing her own ideas about animal welfare, rescue and care taking the "whole animal," mind, body and spirit into consideration. A few years later, she met Lisa Ashe. Kathy and Lisa had so many ideas, dreams, and goals in common. They instantly clicked and that was when Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary, a non-profit organization, was born in 2011 and have been going strong since.
At Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary, we are dedicated to taking in abused, neglected, and euthanasia listed animals that deserve a second chance and need us the most.
All of our animals are:
Spayed/Neutered
Current on all vaccines
Rabies Vaccinated
Dewormed
Micro-chipped (lifetime registered & paid)
Received all proper medical care when needed (surgeries, dentals, medications, grooming, etc)
While many of our animals are sanctuary or "permanent residents", we do have lots of adoptable pets who are patiently waiting for their forever homes.
We are unique in the fact that our dogs do not live in kennels; instead they live with us in our home on about 5 acres of property located in Anza, CA or they are in foster homes in and around the Temecula, CA area. They have full access to our home and property and sleep inside with us at night.
This ensures that our pets are well adjusted and perfectly suited to become a part of your family.
Because the sanctuary is also our home, we do not have regular public visiting hours but we do have many visitors.
We just have to arrange it to fit the schedule of our animals, ourselves, and you.
