We have watched Nala grow up over the course of the last year! Nala was brought to the shelter originally at just a few days old. After her first adoption, Nala switched homes a couple times and then recently was brought in as a stray. Unfortunately, the owner did not come to claim Nala or her friend Bella who has already been adopted! Even with all the moving, home changes and stays in the shelter, Nala is still such a happy girl. She has been part of our Shelter to Scholar program where she has visited our partner The Better Companion - there she has played with other dogs, worked on confidence building and learned more basic obedience! Nala loves playing with other dogs. She is respectful and is excited to have anyone as a friend. She would enjoy having another dog to play with in her new home. We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting! Nala has done great with meeting new people and just loves love. She may be a little hesitant going into new environments, but there`s nothing a few words of encouragement can`t help her with! Nala has great manners. She is gentle, is redirected easily and a people pleaser at heart. Nala appears to be potty trained, walks well on a leash, knows her basic cues and is even working on crate training! She has been doing great with being crated for her outings. Nala’s play style is interactive, meaning she loves to play with someone! Sure, she enjoys toys and romping around outside, but she certainly enjoys having company. With her people or other dogs! Nala is such a good girl. We have loved seeing her grow up and are so proud of the amazing dog she has become.
