Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Say hello to Hookah!
He is a 2 year old Pit mix who weighs about 71 pounds. He is a sweet bundle of energy! Hookah warms up quickly to new people and absolutely loves to play. He shows potential with other dogs, and would prefer a slow introduction to make sure its a good match. Since he is such a social boy, he could live with kids ages 10 and older and could show potential with younger kids if they`re a good fit.
If Hookah looks like the pup for you, give us a call at 330-487-0333 ext 803 or stop in to meet him today!

All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.
We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at (234) 212-9843 or email at adoptions@summithumane.org, and an adoption counselor will return your message. They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. If we have a match for you and your family, an appointment will be scheduled to meet the animal.
Additional questions can be directed to our adoption team at (234) 212-9843.
