My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** UPDATE 7.15.25 ***
Louis has recently been tested in some stressful style situations and was found to handle new female strangers w no aggression or behavior issues.

That said he is not male human friendly and prefers the company of women.  Likely a trigger trauma and we know after months of training, he may never be a man’s dog.

Are you a female household looking for a companion to keep your home safe? Maybe Louis Courage is your guy?

*** Must have previous Boston Terrier & behavioral experienced ***

Louis says ... I am the smartest boy and am pretty good at reading the room!
I had a rough life, but am learning to enjoy the finer things(my large furry blanket)

Mornings are my favorite, I get silly and want to play with every single toy I have. Foster Mom says I run and jump like a baby deer and never help put the toys back in the basket.

I am a handsome Boston Terrier. I would love a stable environment with patient female Owner(s) to continue to work with me & be patient in my new home.

Previous Boston & behavioral experience is a requirement.

Yard or some outdoor space are a requirement. My favorite thing is sunbathing all day. In the evenings I put myself to bed.

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "the new moxie-doxy" treatment for heart worms).

It is our expectation & a requirement that heartworm preventative be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.

More about this rescue

All breeds have their own particular needs and rescued pets often have special requirements as well, very often in want of medical care, often lacking nourishment and kindness, and often expensive to rehabilitate.

Because we have had Boston Terriers for many years, we are very familiar with their habits, peculiarities and their special needs.

We operate across the southeast under the auspices of the Boston Terrier Rescue Network. We share information and resources in all of the USA with affiliated Boston Rescues.
