Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Triton! 🐶⚡
Triton is a handsome, high-energy boy with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life! He’s playful, smart, and affectionate — always ready for an adventure or a good game of fetch. If you’re looking for a fun companion to keep up with your active lifestyle, Triton might just be your perfect match.
Triton is very friendly but also a little protective of the people he loves, which makes him a loyal and devoted friend. Because of his energetic nature and protective streak, he’d do best in an adult-only home where he can have clear boundaries, consistency, and lots of exercise.
This smart boy thrives on attention, training, and time spent with his favorite humans — and he’ll reward you with endless love and loyalty.
💙 Triton’s adoption fees are fully sponsored, so all he needs now is a loving home to call his own!
If you’re ready to meet an affectionate, adventurous companion who’ll be your best friend through thick and thin, come meet Triton today!

The AWL is here to find the best match possible between adopters and the animals in our care. Keep in mind that a pet’s personality is way more important, and it’s best to try to find a pet that will fit into your lifestyle.

More about this shelter
The Animal Welfare League is a non-profit organization committed to advocating for animal protection and welfare. We are based in Port Charlotte, Florida. Since 1963 our shelter has served the Charlotte County community by providing a temporary home, medical service and caring attention for many dogs, cats and other animals. These animals come to us as strays, pets given up by their owners, unfortunate animals rescued from abuse and neglect, or simply lost pets in need of being re-united with their families.
