My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rocco is a 2-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix who came to us after being rescued from the Riverside Shelter. He’s incredibly sweet with a happy-go-lucky personality that fits just about anywhere. Rocco has been a star at our public events—he loves meeting new people and is especially gentle and patient with children.

He gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. Rocco would thrive in a home with another playful dog or kids to romp around with. As a Husky/Shepherd mix, he’ll do best with an active family and a yard where he can burn off energy, but he also knows when it’s time to settle down and relax.

Rocco is truly the best of both worlds, and whoever adopts him will feel like they’ve hit the jackpot.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Whether a potential adopter meets the dog at an adoption event or sees them online, we need an adoption application to begin the process

2.

Interview

The second step is a phone call so I can tell the adopter all about the dog, and find out more about their lifestyle.

3.

Home Check

The most important step! All members of the house hold need to be there. I check the yard and the home.

4.

Sign Adoption Contract

We let them know we will keep the dog chipped to us and that if they can't keep the dog, he/she comes back to us. Adoption fee is collected

5.

Take the Pet Home

We check in with a couple days, a couple weeks and a month after they adopt to make sure the dog is adjusting well and give any help needed

Additional adoption info

Step 1 - submit an application
Step 2 - Have a phone interview
Step 3 - Home check
Step 4 - Sign adoption contract
Step 5 - Take your new family member home.
Step 6 - We will be checking in a couple days, a couple weeks and a month post adoption to make sure the dog is adjusting to his/her new home.
