Hi - our names are Sage and Phoenix and we are Peach Face Love Birds. Phoenix is a male and Sage is a female and we are 7 years old. We love to shred wicker balls. We eat pellets with millet for treats. We like to dance with you and can identify some shapes and colors on our flash cards! We are bonded and have to be adopted together - our adoption fee is $80 each.

Step 1: One page adoption application (email for a copy)
Step 2: Phone interview
Step 3: Initial visit with birds
Step 4: Second visit and take home bird
Please Note: the adoption fee does not include a cage, but we do sometimes have used cages for sale. A few days worth of food is included, and usually each bird comes with at least one free toy.

Burge Bird Rescue is attached to Burge Bird Services, a 100% avian veterinary hospital in the south Kansas City Missouri area. We are a no-kill nonprofit shelter for all kinds of birds from finches to macaws, from pigeons to ducks. Many of our birds have special needs, and no bird is ever turned away due to medical issues. In 2013 we helped over 300 birds in need!
