My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Love, cuddles and portion-controlled treats, and she will be yours!

Hi there! I’m Noura, a 5-year-old Lab mix weighing in at 118 lbs. I’m potty trained and crate trained, but I’ll admit, I could use a little more training with the leash on. I can be reactive to dogs and cats. I have a past that wasn’t so easy, and I was rescued from the SEACCA shelter in San Bernardino, CA, where I was on euth list. But now, I’m living a much better life thanks to TAP! I have been spayed, just need a followup on my healing.

I may be a little shy at first, but once I get to know you, I warm up and become a big cuddle bug. I love lounging around, cuddling, and just being your sweet, curious companion. I’m a bit overweight right now, so I need my food portions and treats to be closely monitored until I reach a healthier weight. But don’t worry—I’m totally worth the effort! I enjoy things like walking, running, and working on puzzle toys to get my treats. I’m also a big fan of car rides!

I’m a loving girl who deserves a home full of affection and cuddles. I might need some extra attention and patience to continue improving, but I promise I’ll give you all the love in return. I’d do well in a home with no other dogs or cats, and I’m fine being left alone. Whether your home is mellow or active, I’ll be happy as long as I get to be with you. I just want a life full of love, treats, and snuggles! My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We prioritize local San Diego applicants. We do not provide transport of dogs to other states, and don't allow the dogs to fly in the cargo of the plane.
Our adoption process from start to finish, involves 3 standard forms, and 2 situational.
All potential applicants must be capable of providing their adopted pet with routine and emergency veterinary care (yearly health checks, keeping vaccinations current, heartworm/flea preventatives, and immediate care in the event the animal is sick or injured). They are required to license their pet, and keep an identification tag on their pet at all times.
All applicants must agree to a home check, and provide us with a veterinary reference, or personal references if you're a first-time pet owner. Our home checks are not to invade the privacy of the applicants, we do this to ensure the pet is going into a safe home. We do not discriminate against non-homeowners, or those living in apartments, condos, or otherwise.
Our adoption fees vary from $150-1000.
Applicants must agree in writing that if for any reason they are unable to keep or care for their pet, the pet will be surrendered back to our rescue and not re-homed, turned over to a shelter, pound, rescue, new owner, sold, etc.

More about this rescue

Overview
The Animal Pad is a nonprofit, all-breed dog rescue devoted to saving the lives of dogs facing euthanasia at high kill animal shelters and off the streets of Mexico. We rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home locally.

We are dedicated to animal advocacy, and educating dog owners on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. We are a foster based rescue, and rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of the amazing people who make donations toward the rescue and care of the dogs we save.

We are always looking for adopters, fosters, donations, volunteers, etc.. Please let us know if you would like to get involved by contacting us at one of the email addresses found below.
