My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Julieta and here is some info about me:

PHYSICAL INFO:

  • Breed: Labrador Mix

  • Age: 3 years 10 months approx.

  • Gender: Female

  • Weight: 41 lbs (19 kg)

  • Current Location: Guadalajara, Mexico

RESCUE STORY - I escaped from a place where I was always left alone, tied up upside. There were many times when I was freezing cold or very hot. The man who owned me didn't interact much with me and I was tied up and alone. One day, I managed to break my tie and I ran away! My rescuers found me a few blocks away and brought me to a shelter. The rescuers knew who I was as they have asked the man before if they could take me away and find me a happy family that would love me.

I love hearing happy humans speaking to me with love and respect and I am a kind and happy girl

TEMPERAMENT - I am a very happy dog, and I love to run free! I don't bark a lot, only when I want to play! When I hear my human calling to me in a happy voice, I get really excited and hope you will throw a ball for me to chase.

ENERGY LEVEL - Moderate - I enjoy running free! I especially love chasing balls.

GETS ALONG WITH:

  • Kids – Not Sure (no video footage provided but there is an older child that lives in my home)

  • Dogs – I am very dog friendly and like to socialize with all dogs.

  • Cats – Not sure.

PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.

TRAINING:

  • Leash skills – I am a good girl walking with a leash. Here I am on a leash!

  • House trained – I know to go potty in the garden and when I'm playing outside.

  • Crate trained – I know where my crate is and I'm learning about it daily.

  • Car rides – I am very calm when in the car.

Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.

HEALTH NOTES:

  • When I was first rescued, I received all my shots and a clean bill of health.

  • I am spayed and vaccinated. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records.

  • I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying North.

  • NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.

ADOPTION FEE:

  • My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax ($750 + 5% GST and 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver.

Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process.

The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.

WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.
