My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Odie!!
Odie came to us from a shelter in Missouri when his family dropped him off and never came back to get him.
He is between 2-3 years old and has a beautiful dark chocolate coat with white markings.

Odie is a very good boy that is loving and loyal. He has been doing amazingly well with his transition to Minnesota and loving life but something is missing.....COULD IT BE YOU??

He loves getting pet, scratched, getting his fur brushed, going on long walks, basking in the sun and playing with other dogs and toys.

Odie is intelligent and a very quick learner. He knows simple commands such as sit, potty, down and no! He is a picky treat eater, but food motivated for sure. So far, string cheese seems to be a winner!!

Odie is taking a few minutes to calm in his crate but once he figures out it is bedtime or rest time- he does very well. Once he is comfortable in his forever home- I think Odie will prefer a nice comfy bed. He seems very comfortable jumping up on mine and resting like a king:)

Odie's perfect home will give him a lot of love, activity, mental stimulation and exercise. He is a herding breed- so staying active will suit him best.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
