My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jackie is one of 5 of the Jackson Five that were living in the woods near the rescue. They were so hungry and barely surviving. We were able to save them with food and a gentle hand to get them to safety. Jackie is a gentle boy now taking food from our hands but will not let us touch him. We work daily to continue to gain his trust. He is missing a back paw but does not seem to be in pain. He is not ready for adoption but he would love to meet you and take a treat from you. We will update his story as he progresses.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.

Go meet their pets

We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Weekends are preferred. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email to ask for directions and to make an appt.

More about this shelter

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..
