My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thor is a 1 yr old (born April 24, 2024) German Shepherd/Border Collie mix. He is currently around 50 lbs.

He is social, good with other dogs and has been around cats. He lived his entire short life outdoors so he will require obedience training, house training and learn how to live inside.

Our hope is that we can send him to the prison for training once we have an opening.  He arrived here with several other dogs from the same property.

If you are interested in Thor or one of his companions/siblings please contact the shelter OR stop in during regular business hours.

Application applies with an approval process.

More about this shelter

We are the Morrow County Dog Shelter, operated by the county.
Our shelter houses stray and homeless dogs from our county. We are a small shelter with an annual intake between 250-400 dogs. Some of our available dogs go through a prison training program if they qualify.
Our adoption fee includes all basic vet care and it is completed before a dog goes to his/her new home. An adoption application is necessary for all dogs prior to an adopter being chosen.
