My name is Kato!

Kato came to the shelter as an owner surrender due to rental property restrictions. He's a 2 year old German shepherd/pit bull mix. He's big, friendly, strong, and active. He's also really handsome! Just don't tell him that - we don't want it to go to his head. Kato has been vet checked, chipped, and neutered and his fee is $150.

Kato has had some training and knows some basic commands. He does forget his manners sometimes as he's overwhelmed with enthusiastic affection. He did live with cats but we're not sure about his interactions with them and has done okay with other dogs with good introductions. He should be okay with older kids. He's bright and eager to please.

NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
