Hi! I'm Mateo, a goofy, 5 year old French Bulldog. I have a very big tongue that's always trying to give the biggest kisses, which can make me drool a bit from time to time. I am bonded with my sister, Paloma, who loves to keep me in line - and steal all my toys, so our ideal home will be both of us staying together.
I love long snuggles on the couch, keeping watch outside through the windows, sunning myself on the patio, and letting you know, loudly, when I need something. I also enjoy going for walks, but only on my preferred timeline, and may just become a bowling ball and stop walking when I'm done.
I have allergies and am the best boy at taking my chewable pill daily to keep me from itching too much or licking my paws. But my foster family is working on a better diet, and weekly baths to help get my skin feeling nice and itch-free.

Adoption fees are based on the breed, health, age, and behavioral status of each dog. All dogs are microchipped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, flea/worm treated and have had a wellness exam before becoming adoptable. If you are interested in adopting a BHNW dog, please fill out the online application. If you are matched to the dog you are interested in or another dog in our program, you will be contacted by the foster family. Prior to adopting, there is a mandatory home evaluation to ensure your home and family are ready for that dog. We require a contract for all adoptions and there is a two-week trial to ensure a good match. If for any reason you can no longer care for the dog you adopted from us, that dog must be returned to our program.
