Meet Dixie – The Smiliest Dog You’ll Ever Meet!

Looking for a daily dose of joy? Meet Dixie, the four-legged ray of sunshine with a smile so big it could light up the whole neighborhood! This sweet girl is overflowing with love, and her tail wags as much as her smile beams.

Dixie is a happy, affectionate pup who thrives on belly rubs, playtime, and being around her favorite humans. She’s great on walks, loves treats (peanut butter is her favorite!), and will happily flop down beside you for a good cuddle. Her cheerful personality makes her a hit with kids and adults alike!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
