Looking for a fun-loving, playful pup? Meet Smokey! At just 1 year and 8 months old and weighing 85 lbs, Smokey is a big, goofy sweetheart with a zest for life. He absolutely loves playing fetch and splashing around in the water—it’s his happy place! Smokey is still working on his leash manners and can be a bit of a puller on walks, but in a yard, he`s a joy to watch—sweet, silly, and full of energy. He knows several commands including sit, stay, come, and even goes to his “place” (dog bed) when meals are being prepared. Smart and polite! Some of Smokey’s favorite things include:
-Agility -Car rides -Water fun -Tug and fetch -Toys, running, digging, and more!
Smokey is an active, playful boy who would thrive with a family that can match his energy and give him lots of love (and maybe a kiddie pool!). Ready to meet Smokey? He’s waiting to steal your heart!
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.
In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.

Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours—giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs daily starting at noon. Available at both locations!
