Meet Kennedy – A Beautiful, Sensitive Soul Looking for Her Special Place in the World

With her soft golden coat, soulful eyes, and gentle spirit, Kennedy turns heads wherever she goes. She may look like a golden retriever, but she’s actually a stunning mix of Great Pyrenees and other breeds – the best of many worlds. And while her beauty is obvious, it’s her heart that makes her truly special.

Kennedy was adopted as a puppy by a loving family who gave her the best start in life. She grew up surrounded by children and other dogs, and she’s always been a loyal, affectionate, and incredibly smart companion. But Kennedy is also a deeply sensitive girl. Over time, her anxieties have become harder to manage in a busy home, and with enormous love and sadness, her family has made the incredibly difficult decision to help her find a home better suited to her emotional needs.

Kennedy thrives on routine, calm energy, and patience. She loves being outside – running, playing, sniffing, sunbathing – that’s her happy place. She’s fantastic on a leash and would make the perfect walking buddy. Indoors, she’s just as happy curled up by your side, enjoying snuggles and quiet companionship.

Where Kennedy needs support is with her insecurities. She has a history of resource guarding, especially around food and tight spaces. She has made progress, and we truly believe she can continue to improve in a more structured, peaceful environment.

We are looking for a very special, experienced, and calm home for Kennedy – someone who sees past the challenges and into her huge, loving heart. She’s not for everyone, but for the right person or family, Kennedy will be the most loyal and rewarding companion you could ask for.

 Kennedy is:

  • Spayed and up-to-date on all vet care

  • Great with dogs and kids, but would do best in a home with awareness of her needs

  • Housebroken and leash-trained

  • Not destructive and has excellent manners

  • Best suited for a low-traffic, adult-only or older-children home

Kennedy has so much love to give – she just needs someone who understands that sometimes the most wonderful dogs are also the ones who need the most understanding.

If you think you might be the one to give Kennedy the peace, patience, and love she deserves, please reach out. Her perfect match is out there – and we know they’re going to be so lucky to find her.
