Esme is a beautiful 6-month-old Border Collie/Akbash mix with a gentle soul and a loving heart. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she warms up, she’s incredibly affectionate and loyal. Esme is currently in foster care, so she is not at the shelter. If you’re interested in meeting her, please contact us to arrange a visit.
This sweet girl does wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion. She’s also good with children, making her a great fit for a family environment. Esme hasn’t been introduced to cats, but we believe she may do well with slow, supervised introductions.
Esme is crate trained, mostly housetrained, and learning to feel comfortable on a leash. Because of her herding and guardian breed mix, she may naturally prefer a home with space to roam and people (and pups!) to keep her company.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who just wants to be part of the family, Esme might be the perfect match.
