Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Are You Ready to Be the Hero in My Happily Ever After?
Hi, I'm Tundra, and I need to be honest with you right from the start—I've grown up here at CARE. This shelter has been my whole world for longer than any dog should have to wait. My siblings Glacier and Yukon? They found their forever homes and left. And I'm still here, watching, waiting, hoping that my person is out there somewhere.
We came from Bastrop, Texas in pretty rough shape—Demodex mange, scared, not in good condition at all. But CARE brought us back to health, and now I'm this confident, energetic, incredibly smart husky who's ready to finally know what "home" feels like.
Here's what I need you to know about me: I'm a lot of dog. I'm smart—like, really smart—which means I need mental stimulation and a person who understands huskies. I've got opinions, energy for days, and a personality that fills up whatever room I'm in. I need someone who's home a lot because I've waited long enough, and I don't want to spend my days alone anymore. I want to be WITH my person, doing life together.
I'm looking for a husky person—someone who gets the breed, who can keep up with my energy, who knows how to channel all this intelligence and spirit into something positive. Someone who will take me on adventures, give me jobs to do, keep my mind engaged. I need structure, consistency, and someone who won't give up when I'm being my strong-willed self.
But here's what I'll give you in return: I will love you with everything I have. I've been waiting so long for someone to call my own, and when I finally find you? You're getting all of me—my loyalty, my devotion, my goofy personality, my whole heart. I LOVE playing with other dogs, I'm absolutely obsessed with water (seriously, any puddle, pool, or sprinkler is fair game), and I'm currently in training classes learning my manners.
I'm not going to pretend I'm easy. I'm a husky who's grown up in a shelter, and that comes with its challenges. But I'm also resilient, loving, and so ready to prove that I'm worth the commitment.
So here's my question for you: Are you my person? Are you home enough? Do you understand huskies? Are you ready to give a girl who's waited way too long the life she deserves?
Because I'm ready. I've been ready. I just need you to show up.
—Tundra
Still waiting. Still hoping. Still believing my person is out there.
