With one soulful brown eye and one icy blue gaze that could stop traffic (or at least earn him extra treats), Shadow is a nearly 5-year-old hound mix who's equal parts handsome and heart-melting.

Don’t let his age—or his name—fool you. Shadow isn’t lurking in corners—he’s trotting happily by your side, tail wagging and heart wide open. Sure, he can be a little shy at first, but once you’re in his circle of trust, get ready for full-on snuggle mode. We're talking lean-in-for-hugs, couch-cuddling, belly-up bliss.

This sweet boy is the total package: crate trained, house trained, dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and a professional-level lounger. He’s working on his leash manners—he’s a work in progress with a wag—but with a little patience and encouragement, he’ll have it mastered in no time.

Shadow would absolutely benefit from having a confident dog sibling to show him the ropes and help him feel secure. He blossoms around other pups and would love a buddy to play with, lean on, and share cozy naps.
