My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spot is an energetic 12-yr-old boy, and has an adventurous spirit that can sometimes take over his brain and clog his ears! You have to admire that in a senior boy! He takes full advantage of the doggie door at his foster family's house and loves to explore the yard, politely pooh-poohing his foster mom's retrieval calls with few apologies.

Spot was great in the bath and loves treats but can be a picky eater, possibly due to his change of environment. He loves car rides, his evening walks, and seems to handle social situations and pet store shopping like a pro!

He sleeps peacefully in his crate all night. As Spot has become more comfortable in his foster home, his fosters have discovered that he can occasionally show his possessive side when it comes to his people. They suggest that Spot finds a home where he can have all of the attention during couch and chill time.

WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.

If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.

Adoption fee of $310 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.

We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible.

Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.
