Harris was found as a stray in a rural county and actually labeled as being feral. We have found that she is anything but! She is a typical high-energy JRT who loves her foster mom and loves to meet new human adults. She is untrusting of children for an unkown reason.
Harris is crate-trained and walks fairly well on a leash. She acts all tough while in her crate, but wants attention and pets as soon as you walk up to it. She is about 10 lbs, and lives harmoniously with dogs. She is treat-motivated and quick to learn.
Est. DOB is March 2024.
WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.
If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.
Adoption fee of $410 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.
We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible.
Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.
